This 1975 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is claimed to be one of 857 produced for the model year that were equipped with a 455ci V8. This example is finished in red over white upholstery, and equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a shaker hood, front disc brakes, front and rear spoilers, Trans Am decals, front bucket seats, air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, and a Kenwood cassette stereo. The car was acquired by the previous owner in April 2021, and subsequent work reportedly included rebuilding the front calipers and replacing the air-conditioning compressor, master cylinder, brake booster, shock absorbers, and tires. This Trans Am is now offered by the seller on behalf of his son with a copy of a window sticker, an original purchase contract, manufacturer's literature, and a clean title.
The body was refinished in red during prior ownership and features a "screaming chicken" hood decal, a shaker hood, chrome window trim, front and rear spoilers, and quad exhaust tips.
Factory 15" steel wheels are accented by chrome trim rings and are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, which are said to have been recently installed. The seller reports that additional recent service included rebuilding the front brake calipers and replacing the master cylinder, brake booster, and shock absorbers.
The cabin features high-back front bucket seats with white upholstery, along with contrasting black door panels and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, and a Kenwood cassette stereo. The seller states that the air-conditioning compressor was replaced during current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 900 of which were added during current ownership.
